The photography exhibit, "Eat Chinatown," at 41 Ross in San Francisco explores eateries that have been in operation at least 40 years.

Photographer Andria Lo and writer Valerie Luu profiled four eateries and their faithful patrons to understand San Francisco Chinatown’s food culture.  Lo and Luu are the founders of Chinatown Pretty, a street-style blog that documents Chinatown seniors. love this!

The exhibit ends on 9 April 2017. For more information, click here.

Curious about Chinatown in DC?  Check out the 1882 Foundation's video series and oral history project. Their first Through Chinatown's Eyes short documentary explores April 1968. It is excellent!  I will write a more detailed feature soon.

There was also a book completed in the 1980s or 1990s on the history of Chinatown.  But I can't remember the name of it.  And a quick browser search didn't reveal anything.  Anyone remember the name of the book? Anyone have a copy of it?
