stop police brutality and surveillance

stop police brutality and surveillance

I'm sick & tired of the police brutality and surveillance that I witness and read about daily. Just sick of it.

I see the surveillance at the subway near my apartment at 3pm when students get off from school. There is always at least one police officer stationed there. I do not feel protected with the police there. I am scared for myself, my daughter and the other young people getting on and off buses and the subway.

I see the disrespect of the police when they bark at riders on the Metro, instead of speaking to them respectfully and professionally.

I complained to my City Council representative after reading about the white police officer who tripped up a teen and made her fall to the ground.

I heard about the 90 individuals recently arrested by ICE in DC, Maryland and Virginia.  Aren't we supposed to be a sanctuary city?

And I read and saw the video of the physician who was abused by police officers after they were called by United Airline officials to force him off the plane.

It's ridiculous and and it's got to stop.

I/we must all fight to end police brutality.  I am going to request that all of the organizations and institutions that I am affiliated with and support speak out and organize against police brutality and surveillance.

None of us are safe from police brutality and surveillance.
