#OTD 20 October 1968 Washingtonians were excited that Robert Hayden and Derek Walcott would be reading and discussing their poetry at 8:30pm at the Library of Congress tomorrow, 21 October. Robert Hayden was an English professor at the University of Michigan and Derek Walcott was studying on a Rockefeller Fellowship.
