#OTD Monday 19 February 1968 Peggy Cooper was a senior at George Washington University (2121 I St, NW) majoring in political science with plans to go to law school.
She was also a founding member of the Black Student Union and joined with fellow students to demand that all-white sororities be forced to end racist policies and practices or be kicked off campus.
There will be more stories throughout the year about Peggy Cooper.
