#OTD Sunday 7 April 1968 A Washingtonian does her grocery shopping before the store closes early due to the afternoon curfew imposed by Mayor-Commissioner Walter Washington.

The store sign states:

"DUE TO CURFEW, WE MUST CLOSE AT 3:30. OPEN MONDAY 9AM."
