9 may 1968 & pride inc reaches out to spanish-speaking teens

#OTD 9 May 1968 Elias Cato wrote the above memo to Mary Treadwell, Pride Inc.'s Director of Program Development, about reaching out to young Washingtonians whose first language was Spanish.

Cato met with Artemio Martinez and recommended that Pride hire him as the liaison between the organization and Spanish-speaking individuals and institutions. Mr. Martinez's first responsibility was to quickly hire 15-20 teenagers to start working on Pride projects.
