17 june 1968 & vermont avenue baptist church
#OTD-ish 17 June 1968 Rev. N. R. Richardson gave a sermon at the Vermont Avenue Baptist Church (1630 Vermont Avenue, NW) at their 11am service and during Children's Church at 8pm. Rev. C.T. Murray was the church pastor. In the photo above, his name is written at the top of the church sign under the church name.
Rev. Murray is credited with "reorganizing the church, and forming countless clubs and auxiliaries. He also oversaw the erection of the C.T. Murrary Extension Center building, enlarging the classroom space, adding a larger cafeteria, kitchen, and church office, and a multipurpose Roof Garden for outdoor activities."
