#OTD-ish 3 August 1968 #flashbackfriday An unnamed worker takes her lunch break in the "ladies lounge" at the National Institutes of Health. The photograph was taken by a white freelance photographer Lorraine W. Gray (1839 Mintwood Place, NW). It is a rare photograph of a working class employee at a federal agency c1968.
The back of the photo states:
"N.I.H. Laundry / The official ladies lounge
This woman is trying to relax a moment before she must return to work when her lunch break ends."
