#OTD-ish 12 September 1968 #waybackwednesday The Turning Point Quintet was the featured band at the New Thing Art & Architecture Center’s weekly jazz concert—the New Thing Jazz Workshop— at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church (Bancroft Place & Connecticut Ave, NW) on this day in 1970. The concerts had been held on Tuesdays since circa April 1967. The New Thing requested a $1 donation from concert attendees.
