#OTD 20 September 1968 Rosemary Reed, founder and owner of Toast and Strawberries (Connecticut Ave & R St, NW), was most likely in her boutique helping customers. Reed sold quantity buttons, posters, dresses, jewelry, baby back carries and gifts for men. In addition to ready made buttons and posters “for every occasion,” customers could also order custom made buttons.
