dc city & capital: from the dc1968 archive

The above image is from a 36-page document titled, District of Columbia: City and Capital, that was written and produced by the city's Office of Public Affairs in 1968.  

It is part history, part booster, part civics lesson. 

I'm very curious about the Office of Public Affairs and the intended audience for this publication.
