lunch hour discussion today--dr. dorothy boulding ferebee @sumner

The Sumner School Museum & Archives is hosting a discussion of Diane Kiesel's book on Dr. Dorothy Boulding Ferebee, She Can Bring Us Home today from noon-1:30pm.  Dr. Ferebee was very active in DC throughout the 20th century.

I first learned about Dr. Ferebee when I worked with Bettye Collier Thomas at the Mary McLeod Bethune Museum & Archives back in the late 1980s.

I remember her name and others who appeared in and were part of the NCNW's publication, The Aframerican Woman's Journal, a beautiful magazine whose articles were often translated into french and spanish.
