Do you remember Melvin Lindsey's "Quiet Storm" on WHUR 96.3 FM?  If so, WHUR Radio wants to hear from you.

Melvin Lindsey was the dj for the "Quiet Storm" idea originated by Cathy Hughes, who was general manager at WHUR in the mid-1970s.  Melvin Lindsey took the idea and transformed a generation and more, making the Quiet Storm format of romantic soul and R&B a radio station staple.

Melvin Lindsey provided the soundtrack to my teen years.  I remember having hours long conversations with friends where we simply listened to Quiet Storm together on the phone.

The morning conversation at school was what Melvin Lindsey played the night before.

wonderful, wonderful memories.
