#OTD-ish Saturday 3 March 1968 Peter Moorman, Armstrong Evening HS student, and Dr. William Curtis, Professor of Chemistry at DC Teachers College (DCTC), work together in the chemistry storeroom.  Dr. Curtis trained Moorman in the proper "handling of apparatus for experiments."

Dr. Curtis requested a worker from the Neighborhood Youth Corps, a program of the United Planning Organization, to be trained as a chemistry stores clerk. Moorman was selected. This opportunity could lead to his acceptance at DCTC (2565 Georgia Avenue, NW) and to continue education and training as a science teacher.

Please comment below. Did you know Peter Moorman? Did you go to Armstrong Evening HS? Did you know Dr. Curtis? Do you remember the chemistry lab? Did you also participate in the UPO program? You may comment privately here.
