#OTD Sunday 4 March 1968 The Howard University Choir was preparing for an upcoming  benefit concert for Children's Hospital. The choir, founded in 1874, was directed by Dr. Warner Lawson, dean and professor of music. The choir--60 voices strong--performed a wide range of music locally, nationally and internationally.  It's repertoire included the spiritual, "Let Us Break Bread Together," and "To Music" by Schubert.
