ebony fashion fair: exhibit & community discussion

On 29 April 2017, Audrey Smaltz, Ebony Fashion Fair Commentator (1970-1977), will moderate a community discussion on Ebony Fashion Fair shows in DC at the George Washington University Museum & the Textile Museum (701 21st St NW).  She will share her memories and invite the audience to share their memories.

The discussion is a related program of the exhibition, Inspiring Beauty: 50 Years of Ebony Fashion Fair, at the George Washington University Museum & the Textile Museum and is a collaboration with the Smithsonian Anacostia Museum.

I thank Elsa Barkley Brown for sharing this with me.

I hope that I can find photos and/or recording from the fashion show.  I'm really curious about the fashion/visual aesthetic at play.
